Hello Everyone

We have had a busy few weeks and here's to a few more.......................

Topics - Throughout this month the children have been learning about beach and sun safety, nursery rhymes,  oceans and under the sea and next week they will be talking about their holidays. It would be great if you could bring in any holiday pictures you have for the children to talk about

School leavers - We can't quite believe that yet another has gone by and we are saying farewell to another group of Busy Bees. We wish them all the very best for their futures.

Can I politely ask that all of their invoices are cleared before their last day please.

Funding reminder - If your child has turned 3 since 1st April this year or will turn 3 before 31st August this year they will be eligible for either 15 or 30 hours of nursery funding. If you are eligible for 30 hours you must apply for their code before the end of next week or you miss out on their funded place. If you already have their code it is really important that you bring in proof of their DOB and your own NI number to us next week.Without these details or knowing what sessions you want I cannot apply which again means you could miss out on the funding.

Funding will end next week and the Autumn funding block is 14 weeks will run from W/B 2nd September to Friday 13th December (not including October half term)

Nits - Unfortunately we seem to have had another outbreak of head lice/Nits. We have been doing all we can to stop the spread of them by discouraging children from getting their heads too close to one another and tying their hair up if they come in with it down. This is all we can really do. It is up to parents to regularly check your children's hair using a nit comb and conditioner. They may need treating if they have lots. If this continues we may have to implement a "No nit" policy where children will be sent home if they have untreated head lice.

Room moves and staffing - Throughout the Summer some of the staff will be moving rooms and also some of the children. If the children are transitioning to a new room you should have already received a note. We have a new nursery cook who has 16 years experience of running a school kitchen and also a new nursery nurse - Charlie.  The rooms structure will look like this:

Sunshine room: Sally (also covering Deputy manager) and Denise

Little Explorers: Temporarily closed due to low numbers

Chatterbugs: Katie and Jasmine

Rising Stars: Leanne and Lauren F

Mini Bees: Jackie and Georgie

Busy Bees room 1: Heidi and Nikki

Busy Bees room 2: Amanda and Charlie

Belinda will be floating supporting all rooms

Carly and  Lauren J will be covering me whilst I'm off on Maternity leave.

You will notice that we have two Busy Bees rooms. this is due to the number of children all going to school next year. There are over 40 so we have had to split the group into 2. Both groups will be following the same planning and both groups are mixed 3-4 year olds . The groups have been split according to the days children attend to ensure a balance of number across the days. They have not been split according to age/ability all children will be given the same input in order to prepare them for school.

August Bank holiday - We are closed on Monday 26th August you will not be charged for this day.

Fees increase from September - As per our terms and conditions we will be increasing our fees from 1st September. The new fees will be as follows:

AM session 8-1pm £27.00

PM session 1-6pm £24.00

Full day 8-6pm £48.00

And that's it from me for a few months. I will be finishing on Friday 2nd August and I will be back in the Spring. But as always if you have any questions etc please come and see us
